Alliant Commercial Lending Recognized with CUNA Excellence Award

Alliant Credit Union recently received the CUNA 2018 Excellence in Lending Award in recognition of the credit union’s forward-looking commercial lending strategy and successes.

Alliant’s award entry outlined the credit union’s overall business lending operations, including strategy, loan programs, marketing techniques and risk management protocols. Since implementing these tactics 18 months ago, Alliant has originated $439 million in new business loans, and combined with its prior book, Alliant’s portfolio loan-to-value ratio stands at 59.5 percent and features no charge-offs and virtually no delinquencies.

“Since the inception of commercial lending at Alliant in 2012, the business has clearly come a very long way,” said Charles Krawitz, Alliant Vice President of Commercial Lending. “This award, while extremely validating, reminds me that the quest for excellence is an ongoing proposition. To this end, the commercial lending team is fortunate to be part of an organization that does not rest on its laurels, but instead is encouraging of, and receptive to, new ideas in the service of our members.”

The award was presented by the CUNA Lending Council, a national network comprised of credit union lending experts across the country, and award winners were recognized at the CUNA Lending Council's 24th annual conference Oct. 28-31 in Anaheim, CA.
